Knowledge and Research Call for Participation

The Council would like to thank those that made an expression of interest. Our first teleconference is scheduled for 15 May. Our intial group will include many individual members, as well as representatives from Universities, training organisations and Industry. Our first task is to determine terms of reference and identify projects. Our current list of projects under consideration includes:

  • Develop an online Project Management industry experts register to simplify referrals for consulting, media and other opportunities
  • Creation of a Project Management Online Resources tool expanding current IRC offerings (provision of access to cutting edge journals, business intelligence, getting graduate PM students to deliver tailored research) to members and customers
  • Creation of 'e' Research Journal for publication of academic style papers
  • Collection of PM related theses (or links to databases) in an online tool (past and present, globally)
  • Recognise excellence in the study of project management (promote PM Student awards, etc.)
  • Create a PM Research Foundation - Support academic/industry focus groups on topics of interest (to provide a conduit from industry to academia regarding what type of research is needed)
  • Review of website layout, to make it more easier for users to access
  • Support Australian Project Management Communities of Practice (Prince 2, etc)
  • Development of a PM Mentoring Group
  • Provide a national learning and support network for PM Students

If there's something you think should be on this list, get involved! Email Rob Tucker or the KRC Chair, Dr. Bill Young with your questions or suggestions.
