Description:

With a career spanning 17 years, nearly 10 of those exclusively dedicated to the Project Management profession, Belinda has accumulated extensive knowledge of and gained substantial experience across many industries, has a solid work ethic and takes great pride in performing to the fullest extent of her abilities. She is at her best when offered a challenging and dynamic environment to operate in and takes great care to deliver efficiently and effectively according to the expectations of her clients. Belinda is fully competent at all levels of Project Management and possesses exceptional stakeholder management skills, being quick to gain understanding of an organisation's hierarchical structure, culture and climate. She is always able to quickly identify the relevant key players in a particular initiative, gain understanding of their levels of importance and influence as well as their expectations, then ensure the relevant others understand and meet those expectations. Belinda is a highly effective and proactive communicator with a particular flair for aligning programme status reporting to the processes and formats which already exist in the client organisation and for translating programme and project information into stakeholder-specific language to facilitate ease of decision-making by an organisation's executives. Belinda's direct and logical manner when escalating risks and issues and suggesting mitigations and contingencies has enabled many an exec to make truly informed decisions and achieve mitigation before the critical trigger point has been reached. With her innate understanding of and proven ability to integrate Change Management practices into her PM strategies, Belinda is very effective at leading the "human" aspects of programmes and projects, guiding people at all levels of an organisation smoothly through the transition or transformation. Belinda understands extremely well, and is able to act effectively upon, the critical need which customer-facing initiatives have for attention to seemingly-small details, discretion and diplomacy (coupled with strength when needed), and the early identification, containment and resolution of issues long before they develop into programme or business risk. Belinda has gathered much experience in coaching and mentoring PM resource to give them a workable strategy and structures with which to deliver their programmes / projects; has facilitated many strategic planning workshops; and has conducted many comprehensive programme / project health check reviews. Because of these characteristics and experiences, Belinda is usually asked to work with politically challenging, strategically sensitive or particularly complex enterprise initiatives, ensuring they are thoroughly planned and implemented, or that they are reviewed and re-directed to completion if implementation is not proceeding as required. She is also commonly engaged in PMO establishment and PM methodology development initiatives. At this stage of her career, Belinda is actively seeking PMO establishment and management roles as she finds them the most fulfilling and best suited to her character, knowledge and skills.
