CALL FOR NOMINATIONS  

Dear AIPM Members

This letter is to inform you that AIPM is seeking nominations for positions on your State Chapter Council. AIPM can only achieve the objectives of our members through the valuable contribution made by our passionate volunteers.There are 3 positions being renewed Chapter President, Chapter Secretary and Chapter Treasurer and there are up to 7 positions available for Chapter Councillors.

The term for each of these positions is for 2 years, with the appointment commencing at our Annual General Meeting to be held in Canberra at 5:00 pm on October 13th, 2008.Under AIPM’s Constitution, the position of State Chapter President requires the successful candidate to also hold a position on AIPM’s National Executive and to consent to be a Director of AIPM.Through this role you will be able to help drive the strategic direction of AIPM and the project management profession in Australia.

Nomination forms for your Chapter Council are available for download at http://www.aipm.com.au/html/2008-chapter-elections.cfm. Please ensure you download the form for your chapter.

Once you have completed the nomination form, you will need to obtain the Consent of the Nominee.The nomination form must be received at our office, or faxed through to (02) 8288 8711 by 4:00pm on Wednesday 25th July 2008. Nomination Forms received after this time and date will not be opened.

Under our Constitution only associates, members, fellows who are financial are eligible to make nominations or to stand in the election. Life fellows of course also able to vote.If you are not currently a financial member, we encourage you to renew to have your voice heard during this election process.
