Carmel was project manager for the 'Clinical Incident Management with Riskman' Project in 2006, which had a direct impact on over 3500 staff. This project delivered significant improvements to the management of clinical incidents within ACT Health. The Riskman project received the following awards from the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM).
o 2007 National AIPM Change Management / Organisational Change Project of the Year.
o 2007 ACT AIPM Change Management / Organisational Change Project of the Year.
o 2007 ACT AIPM Community Benefit Project of the Year.
