 We pride ourselves on the ability to design, manufacture, provide spare parts, technical support, maintenance, overhaul, refurbishment and applying new technology to complete railway systems that can be integrated from a single source, to both public and private sectors. Due to our recent project success we have the immediate need for an talented and experienced Project Quality Officer to join the team. The primary focus of this position is to verify project activities are meeting all required specifications and standards at all stages of the production and product delivery process. This will be done via means of audits, inspection, testing and sampling. The project in question is one of United Group Rail’s key projects. To be successful:

  •  It is expected that you will have between 3 and 5 years experience as a minimum in a Quality Assurance related role, ideally this would be within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  •  Ideally you will have a trade certificate/diploma in a related engineering /quality discipline.
  •  You will be required to have a sound understanding of quality principles and methodologies.
  •  You will need a working understanding of standards ISO 9001:2009 and the principles of standard systems as they relate to a manufacturing/maintenance operation.
  •  It would be a great advantage for you to have a sound understanding of manufacturing and fabrication principles, practices and projects in a multi-discipline environment.
  •  Your strong communication skills, ability to negotiate and influence others and develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders will also be key to your success.
  •  You will need a demonstrated ability to work independently, to organize and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks and meet key deadlines.
  •  Your will also be required to be highly computer literate with strong MS Word, Excel, Access and email skills.
