Do you have excellent planning and organisational skills? Are you customer focussed and able to facilitate productive meetings with internal and external stakeholders? We are seeking an experienced professional with an entrepreneurial insight, biopharmaceutical product and process development expertise, project management skills and a good understanding of biopharmaceutical industry drivers. Located at our Adelaide facility this new role reports to Hospira’s Global Program Management function, and supports our Biologics third party process development and manufacturing business. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team that will be responsible of expanding the Biologics Contract Development global footprint and bringing on board new capabilities and services that span the entire development value chain. On a day-to-day basis you will be the principal face of Hospira to our external customers, create high performing teams with responsibility for quality execution of projects on time and to budget. You will work closely with business development to design customised development programs and, provide hands-on management and technology transfer between Adelaide functions and global sites.

You will be accountable to the Business Team providing regular project updates and effectively translating project risk and implication on business performance. If you have a scientific or engineering qualification (preferably MSc or PhD but not necessary), are financially literate with project management experience (qualifications not necessary but advantageous) this could be your next challenge.

Other responsibilities include:

  •  Accountability for the delivery of all project deliverables as detailed in the Contract.
  •  Providing leadership to cross-functional teams.
  •  Manage and delegate resources in alignment with approved development plan.
  •  Liaising with the Business Team and Core Project Team.
  •  Maintaining accurate project budgets and timelines.
  •  Organizing and facilitating effective meetings.
  •  Maintenance of project files to comply with Hospira standard operating procedures and policies.
  •  Scoping and negotiating contract variations with third party clients.
  •  Business development support.

Salary packages will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
