As governance of corporate projects increases, the necessary skills levels of project, program and portfolio management continues to increase. The qualification reflects the role of individuals who analyse, design and execute judgements using wide-ranging technical, creative, conceptual or managerial competencies. Their knowledge base may be specialised or broad. These individuals are often accountable for group outcomes. The Advanced Diploma of Project Management prepares candidates for self-directed application of skills and knowledge at a substantial depth across all functional areas of project management where competencies are normally used independently and are substantially non-routine and significant judgement is required. The Advanced Diploma of Project Management is a specialised qualification for project managers managing a wide range of projects of varying degrees of difficulty and complexity and who work under limited guidance and in line with a broad plan, budget or strategy requiring significant skills and knowledge and at a higher level of personal accountability and judgement across a broad range of operational and strategic functions.
