Overview
Please note that nominations for the 2006 Chapter Elections are no longer being accepted.
This webpage contains information on nominations for positions on your State Chapter Council. AIPM can only achieve the objectives of our members through the valuable contribution made by our passionate volunteers. There are 3 positions being renewed: Chapter President, Chapter Secretary and Chapter Treasurer. There are up to 7 positions available for Chapter Councillors.
The term for each of these positions is for 2 years, with the appointment commencing at our Annual General Meeting to be held in Sydney at 4:45pm on September 27th, 2006. Under AIPM’s constitution, the position of State Chapter President requires the successful candidate to also hold a position on AIPM’s National Council and to consent to be a Director of AIPM. Through this role you will be able to help drive the strategic direction of AIPM and the project management profession in Australia.
Once you have completed the nomination form, you will need to obtain the Consent of the Nominee. The nomination form must be received at our office, or faxed through to (02) 8288 8711 by 4:00pm on Wednesday 19th July 2006. Nomination Forms received after this time and date will not be opened.
Under our constitution only members who are financial are eligible to make nominations or to stand in the election. If you are not currently a financial member, we encourage you to renew to have your voice heard during this election process. Details on renewal options are available on our web site at www.aipm.com.au/html/renewal.cfm or call the National Office on (02) 8288 8700.
Although voting is not compulsory, I encourage you to take an interest in the future direction of your institute and cast your vote.
