Establishing the new Asia Pacific Civil-Military Centre of Excellence (APCM CoE) was an election commitment of the new Rudd Government. On the 1st July 2008, Point Project Management was tasked with managing the development of the new APCM CoE office complex complete with computers, workstations, loose furniture and even staplers. It involved a tight timeframe, fixed budget and set deliverables combined with multiple responsibilities to procure the diverse services. The new Agency was to have an office by 1 November 2008 and be officially opened by the Prime Minister of Australia, Kevin Rudd.

Point Project Management went 'above and beyond' any project it had previously undertaken in the past for the newly established Commonwealth Agency. This project offered procurement challenges which forced the Project Managers to 'think outside the square'. Point was required to provide a complete end to end service for all passive and active infrastructures throughout the facility. Point successfully delivered this facility with a fresh eyed approach.
