As the peak professional body for project management, we rely heavily on the efforts of our passionate volunteers that hold positions within both our State Chapters and on our National Executive. The tireless efforts of these individuals allow AIPM to achieve the strategic goals of our membership and drive the awareness of Project Management within a variety of industries. The AIPM constitution governs the appointment of officers to these positions through an election process where all Members have an equal say in who will represent their interests. Each officer holds the position for an initial term of two years and is permitted a second consecutive term.

Last year we conducted the elections for our State Chapters, with this year AIPM holding the election process for our National Executive. Our National Executive consists of officers holding the positions of:

  • National President
  • National Vice President
  • National Secretary
  • National Treasurer

All financial Members are eligible to hold these positions. The National Executive positions take effect immediately following our Annual General Meeting on October 8th, 2007.

The election timetable is listed below commencing with nominations for each of the roles. Each nomination form needs to have the nominee’s name, their consent to be nominated, and the names of two financial Members acting as Proposers.A nomination form is enclosed in this issue of The Project Manager or you can download it from our web site at AIPM National Election Nomination Form.

The closing date for Nominations is 4:00pm on Friday 20th July, 2007 with all nomination forms to be either mailed or faxed to AIPM’s National office.

In the event the number of valid nominations received is greater than the number of vacancies to be filled, a postal ballot will be conducted in accordance with the Articles of Association.
