As your elected National Secretary, I will focus my attention on delivering the AIPM Vision, Mission and Goals to ensure the ongoing development of project management as a recognised profession. To achieve this, focus needs to be directed towards:

1. Accreditation that is relevant, standardised and transferable across industries and nations and in alignment with peer associations.
2. Collaboration with key industry bodies to develop and provide access to best practice information, resources and services.
3. Clear and transparent access to the National Council strategy and priorities with feedback opportunities for members to participate.

These areas are essential in ensuring that the AIPM provides member’s with services that will assist their day-to-day and future needs for managing projects in Australia and overseas and in a variety of industry sectors.  As immediate past NSW Chapter President and RegPM Level 6, I have a thorough understanding of the AIPM and, using my work and academic experiences, I will be an asset to the expertise within your representative institute.

MAJOR HIGHLIGHTS AS A PROJECT MANAGER:

• Deliver project management training modules to government and private sector companies to improve their project manager’s approach and deployment of project management in the field.
• Manage the preparation and production of communications and marketing initiatives and facilitation of local and global workshops for an international project management benchmarking network in Australia.
• Teach post-graduate and undergraduate students project management modules at the University of Technology, Sydney.
• Managed projects in Australia and overseas for health, insurance and financial organisations, delivering project benefits aligned to the objectives.
