About the AIPM Discussion Forums

What Are They?

The Discussion Forums are designed to enable greater communication within the AIPM project management community and promote the sharing of ideas and resources. The forums are web based, designed to enable enhanced communication between the geographically dispersed AIPM membership. Actually meeting with other AIPM members can be difficult or impossible for many. Through these forums, members can raise questions, discuss experiences, provide feedback, and so on with other members and the general project management community.

You can discuss project management, projects, certification, methodologies, employment, salaries, whatever topic you need assistance with or whatever issues you feel should be addressed.

Who Can Use the Forums?

The Discussion Forums are primarily open to all AIPM members and on a more limited basis to the general public. All AIPM members are automatically subscribed to the Forums. Some Forums are closed user groups, that specific AIPM members have access to. One such group is the Assessor Network Forum. Only members of the Assessor Network are able to access this forum.

Non members are able to participate in a limited number of forums, but must register first.

How Do I Participate in the Forums?

AIPM MEMBERS

Firstly, you will need to enter your username and password. This is the same as your username and password for access to the member only areas of the AIPM website. If you do not have or know your username and password you will need to contact the IRC Manager to obtain this information. Full contact details are available below.

Once you have entered your username and password, you can select which forum you would like to place a posting in or which posting you would like to respond to. Don't worry too much about which is the correct forum to post to. There is no right or wrong forum. Simply open the forum or posting and follow the instructions on the screen. There are help screens available from within the sight, activated by clicking on the help button.

AIPM members do not need to register online for access to the forums. All AIPM members are automatically issued with a username and password upon approval of their AIPM membership.

NON-AIPM MEMBERS

Non-members of AIPM are welcome to participate in the General Forum, but must register to obtain access first. Non members need only do this once. Please keep your username and password in a safe place for future use.
