Global Initiatives PRINT

The AIPM is involved in a number of initiatives aimed at achieving one of its goals to "progress the globalisation of project management". These initiatives include:

  1. ensure AIPM representation on global working groups and Forums;
  2. sign cooperative agreements with representative national project management institutes;
  3. assist with the formation of representative national project management institutes in the Asia Pacific region;
  4. liase with other international institutions to develop a process for reciprocity (of certification programs);
  5. undertake joint projects with other peak project management institutes globally.

Global Working Groups

Global Working Groups have been formed in the following areas:

  1. to develop a globally acceptable framework for recognition of certification programs;
  2. to promote a global network of project management researchers.

Cooperative agreements

The AIPM currently has cooperative agreements with the following project management institutes:

 

The AIPM's global strategies are based on the underlying principle that the AIPM will not form Chapters of the AIPM off-shore. Instead, our strategy is to assist interested groups in countries in the Asia Pacific region to form their own national project management institutes.
