Ray Sarlin is the Client Principal for the ACT for Planpower Pty Ltd, and the Lead Consultant in the Canberra office of the Australian College of Project Management. Ray is a highly experienced project management professional who has worked in head offices, area and project offices and on site for numerous projects in developed and developing countries in North and South America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Pacific, particularly Australia and Papua New Guinea.  He has managed or directed several hundred projects and has been responsible for designing, developing, implementing and managing world-class project management systems for two international EPC/EPCM corporations and a number of Public and Private enterprises.  Ray has special expertise in project planning and studies, as well as in project design, startup and commissioning, troubleshooting and management. He has particular strengths in organising and managing greenfield start-up projects and can balance the requirements of multiple projects.  Projects he has been involved with range from volunteer projects, studies and research, design and development of corporate documentation and training systems up to capital development projects worth tens of billions of dollars: with this broad background, Ray can scale your assessment to suit your experience and environment.

Ray holds both formal engineering and management qualifications, and has both attended and presented in-depth project management, contract administration, cost control, planning and scheduling, risk management, IT and ICT and related training and seminars.  He holds a Master of Business Administration, an Advanced Diploma of Project Management, a Diploma of Training and Assessment Systems, and a Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training.  Ray is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and the Quality Society of Australasia, and is certified as a Master Project Director.  Ray utilises the quality assessment processes established by Planpower (formerly the CPMGroup), which provides for an introductory workshop, provision of an assessment record book and one-on-one assistance to ensure that the participant's experience is meaningful, rewarding and enjoyable.
