Recruitment Firm Endorsement

Criteria for endorsement

The AIPM will endorse firms involved in recruitment which recognise and understand the difference between competency-based and knowledge-based certification programs, and the difference between certification, qualifications and experience as it relates to those seeking employment in the project management profession.

Those firms endorsed by AIPM can advertise their positions for no charge on the AIPM website Jobs Register, where it will clearly state that they are endorsed Recruiters.

Firms must provide evidence that when recruiting individuals for project management related positions, the firm clearly understands and differentiates between certification competencies, qualifications and experience. A focus on competence is preferred by the AIPM, ie candidates who have proven themselves competent, eg. by having the RegPm award at the relevant level:

  • Project Team Members – Certified Practising Project Practitioner (CPPP),
  • Project Manager – Certified Practising Project Manager - (QPPM), or
  • Project Director/Program Manager – Certified Practicing Project Director (CPPD).

The Register of Project Managers, ie. individuals who have been certified at one of the above three levels, is maintained on the AIPM website at http://www.aipm.com.au/html/register.cfm.

Evidence will include written policies, recruiting practices, etc. as specified in the application form. Job advertisements will be one form of evidence of the endorsed firms' continuing commitment to such policies and practices.

Register of Endorsed Firms

The AIPM maintains a Register of Endorsed Recruitment Firms on the AIPM website, with direct links to the firms' websites. All project management-related positions can be advertised on the AIPM website at no cost.

Use of Logo and Endorsement

The logo and name must be used strictly in accordance with the AIPM's corporate design, as follows:

  • the AIPM's name must be in full ie "Australian Institute of Project Management"
  • name is to be in 'title case'
  • there is no 'the' before "Australian"
  • font is 'Arial'
  • 'Project Management' must be in bold.

The wording to be used on marketing material with the AIPM logo:

  • "Endorsed by the Australian Institute of Project Management"

Fees

A non-refundable application fee of $550.00 (inc GST) is applicable. Once the application has been approved, an annual (pro-rata) endorsement fee of $1,100 (inc GST) is payable, which includes:

  • Use of AIPM logo on all advertising and marketing material, including advertisements placed in any form of media;
  • Listing on AIPM website as an endorsed provider of recruitment services, with links to the firm's website;
  • Listing of all project management related positions on the AIPM website, at no cost.

Other Opportunities

Endorsed firms may also wish to be involved in other AIPM activities including:

  • The AIPM National Conference - as a sponsor, exhibitor or presenter;
  • attend or sponsor monthly seminars held in each Chapter;
  • attend or sponsor the annual Project Management Achievement Awards program.
