Born in Madras, India; Pal (Palaniyappa) migrated to Australia in the mid 90’s and became an Australian citizen in 2004, the same year he tied the knot, and married Kalpana.

Pal has drawn his expertise in the IT industry & Project Management from the public and private sectors, working with a range of high profile government agencies.  He developed the IT solution for the Australian Marketing Organisation Pty Ltd, and has led a Multinational Software Company in an Executive role before making his move from Sydney to Canberra. Pal manages projects to achieve cost efficiencies and productivity improvements, drawing on over 10 years of experience in the IT industry.

Pal was awarded a Master of Information Science from the University of New South Wales in 2000 and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Sydney in 1997.  After relocating to Canberra in 2002, Pal volunteered as a fire fighter with the Jerrabomberra Bush Fire Brigade from 2003 - 2004.  Pal has been an active member of AIPM since 2003 and was involved in the project management of PMMA 2004 & 2005 awards for the AIPM Canberra Council.

Pal is currently working as a Senior Project Manager; delivering infrastructure projects for Commonwealth agency.  Hobbies include outdoor adventure, cricket, social tennis, badminton.
