Sylvia Boyle
Sylvia Boyle has over 20 years experience in management and marketing in diverse programs. She is currently Client Relationship Manager at AIM, Canberra to create more opportunities and increase business for AIM in the government sector. Sylvia graduated with a BA from ANU and is working towards a Masters degree in Management. Her aim has been to achieve goals that she has set in business and encourage staff to have the vision that makes business a success. Sylvia commenced her career in small business in rural New South Wales, moved on to The Australian National University in administration and management, then to ANUTECH Pty Ltd, and . Her executive positions have included Deputy General Manager, ANUTECH Development International, Manager, Social Sciences and Training, ANUTECH Pty Ltd, ANU; Manager, USPSolutions, The University of the South Pacific (Suva, Fiji); Acting General Manager, Social Infrastructure Development, and Senior Project Manager, SMEC International Pty Ltd, Canberra . Her ability to establish and manage business through increasing business opportunities is well recognised by her achievements and the success of the business in which she worked, as well as her creativeness and organised . She has managed many programs that have kept to budget and completed on time. Her major strengths are building up professional relationships and networking, financial management and at the same time managing a diverse range of business activities. She has extensive knowledge of Federal Government and private sector business in Canberra, as well as a depth of experience in project and consultancy work internationally, in particular with international development assistance agencies. She has travelled around the world to assist with increasing opportunities and business for organisations for which she has worked. Sylvia attributes her success to the cohesiveness and cooperation of the teams that she has worked with over many years. Her philosophy is to treat people with respect and allow them to ‘own’ their work, and be honest and ethical in all her dealings. She encourages staff to achieve goals and assists them by mentoring and providing support. She has been a member of various Boards and Committees including ACT and Southern Region Consultative Committee, ANUTECH Board, Queanbeyan YMCA Board, ANUCOM, and a member of many Committees at the University of the South Pacific. |
