Marcus Sandmann, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

Marcus Sandmann joined AIPM on 16 September 2019 as Chief Marketing Officer, reporting to the CEO.

Marcus is a senior marketing professional with over 18 years’ experience in marketing products and services to businesses and consumers. He has supported the launch of products and services into new markets across 10 countries in Asia Pacific. Marcus has industry knowledge across diverse sectors including Information Technology, Media, Professional Services, Telecommunications, Utilities and Not-for-Profit.
 
Marcus was recently Director of Marketing at Thomson Reuters, executing marketing programs within the Corporate market to build brand awareness, drive customer acquisition and improve the customer experience. This extends to the not-for-profit sector where he has experience as a Board member, supporting fundraising and growth objectives for several NGO’s and Community Services organisations.
 
This is a new role for AIPM, combining the area of marketing services, communications, member engagement and national event management.
 
Marcus will be responsible for developing and implementing the marketing services and communication strategy (digital marketing), including a PR strategy. The PR strategy’s major aim will be to develop advocacy for use of qualified and certified Project Managers by business, government and the NFP sector and promote the reputation of the profession.
