As part of the planned annual renewal of Chapter Councils, this year every Chapter is seeking nominations for Chapter Councillor positions.

AIPM can only achieve its objectives through the valuable contribution made by its passionate volunteers. Through the role of Chapter Councillor, you will be able to help enable the implementation of AIPM’s strategy and the future of the project management profession in Australia at Chapter level.

As a volunteer Chapter Councillor, you will donate your expertise, skills and time in a structured and effective way. Working with a diverse group of professionals, you may have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of local activities including, but certainly not limited to:

  • Chapter seminars, forums and events;

  • Support member engagement;

  • Working groups to support other AIPM’s strategic priorities; and

  • Emerging project management areas of interest.

In return for your contribution, volunteering with AIPM would give you the chance to:

  • Utilise your skills and ideas to progress the project management profession;

  • Assist with the development and delivery of AIPM initiatives nationally and locally;

  • Identify areas of interest that you would like to explore;

  • Earn CPD points; and

  • Have fun networking with like-minded individuals.

If you are uncertain about the time commitment or tasks, please speak with your Chapter President or members of your local Chapter Council who are listed on the AIPM website.

To be eligible to nominate for this position, you must demonstrate the following:

  1. Current AIPM membership at Associate level or above; and

  2. Eligibility for RegPM certification.

AIPM encourages applications from members from a wide range of backgrounds, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, physical abilities and family status. Please see the AIPM Diversity Statement.

Nominations must be made in writing using Form A: Candidate Nomination Form. Once you have completed the nomination form, you will then need to complete two additional forms:

Form B: Candidate Statement Declaration; and
Form C: Candidate Statement. (This information will be circulated if an election is called and may be used in whole or in extract as part of AIPM formal communications)

The nomination form and other required documentation must be emailed to returningofficer@aipm.com.au by 12 noon AEDT Wednesday 20 November 2019. Nomination Forms and other documentation received after this time and date will not be considered.

If more valid nominations are received by the closing date than there are vacancies within the Chapter, a formal election will be held.
