AIPM Chair awarded OAM in this year’s honours list

Project management peak body says the awards reflect extensive service and achievements of Mr King.

Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) is pleased to announce that its Chairman, Mike King, has received the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) (General Division) in the Queen's Birthday 2020 Honours List.

Mr King has been a Member, Fellow, Chapter President and Board Member with AIPM, and its Chair since October 2018, where he was Deputy Chair for the three years prior.

Mr King has been honoured for services to the project management sector in the Queen's Birthday 2020 Honours List.

Elizabeth Foley CEO of AIPM said,

‘Mike King is a very worthy recipient. He has devoted much of his own time to development, professionalisation and upskilling of the project management professional across Australia. He has been on the board of AIPM since 2012 and has helped lead the organisation through dramatic change over the past 5 years.’
