AIPM and AIM announce partnership

Two of Australia’s key peak industry bodies today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The MoU between the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) and the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) will see a major impact on the future of management and project leadership thinking in Australian business.

The MoU will see a raft of shared initiatives to be kicked off between the bodies, including benefits for members of each organisation, knowledge sharing, thought leadership cooperation and the delivery of a united voice to industry and government on key management and project management topics.

AIPM CEO, Ms Yvonne Butler, announced her delight with the partnership when she said “This is a landmark moment for the management and project management professions in Australia”.

“We are extremely proud to be working with AIM, a body whose aims and objectives are so closely aligned with ours particularly around the advancement of excellence in the management, project management and leadership fields”.

“The timing couldn’t be better, as by working together we can strengthen Australia’s approach and delivery in the topical innovation and productivity spaces. We look forward to working with another of the peak industry bodies in Australia and working to share knowledge, advocacy and benefits to both sets of members”.

AIM CEO David Pich has said he is looking forward to working with AIPM on delivering greater value for both organisations’ members. “I’m excited about the opportunity for our Members to access AIPM’s industry leading project management accreditations and to be able to offer AIPM members many of our fantastic member benefits”.

“As a management discipline, project management continues to grow in importance for Australia’s managers and leaders so it’s important that we provide appropriate pathways for our Members to access the professional development opportunities they need to develop as effective managers.”
