AIPM and Helmsman announce co-operative agreement

AIPM and Helmsman announce co-operative agreement

The Australian Institute of Project Management and Helmsman International are pleased to announce a relationship to launch a ground breaking project diagnostic.

Helmsman’s Project Performance Diagnostic leverages the insights from more than 1000 successful projects to measure project complexity, and inform project managers on what project controls are needed. The diagnostic is based on Helmsman’s multi-year research which was backed by an Australian Research Council grant.

AIPM’s certified members will soon be able to undertake the first stage of this Diagnostic, a complementary Complexity Assessment, through this relationship.

AIPM’s CEO, Ms Yvonne Butler, expressed her thoughts on the agreement when she said “We are pleased to be able to offer our certified members the opportunity to gain insights in to project assurance and controls.”

Helmsman CEO Greg Hewson said, “We’re excited to be bringing this Diagnostic to market. Just like the Richter scale, now project managers have an objective measure of project complexity, and guidance on what controls similar projects used to be successful.”

AIPM Certified members should stay tuned for more information on the official lunch of the offer, whilst those interested in more information about AIPM certification should visit the Certification page.
