AIPM launches new Strategic Plan

The AIPM has released it's new five year strategy, with a focus on delivering professional recognition for its members.

Since joining the Australian Institute of Project Management as its CEO late last year, Yvonne Butler has made herself busy creating a plan for an Institute that can carry the interests of its members well in to the future. In June of this year members of the AIPM were able to see first-hand Ms Butler’s vision for the future when she and the Institute’s Board of Directors delivered the 2016-2020 AIPM Strategic Plan.

The new strategic plan was developed with a focus on delivering tangible benefits to the membership base of the AIPM, as well as putting the Institute in a position to continue to serve its role as the peak project management association in Australia. The plan focusses on the needs of members and other stakeholders, and its development included broad consultation and input from the Directors, State Chapter Councillors, the AIPM Council of Fellows, and the Governance Committee.

A key focus for the next five years for the AIPM is to deliver professional recognition for its members, which along with five other pillars helps make up the map for the AIPM's strategy over the next five years.

To support the launch of the new five year strategy, Ms Butler embarked on a nation-wide roadshow during the months of June where she travelled to all five chapters to meet members face-to-face and explain the new plan. At these events she also delivered an update on the status of the AIPM, and also received valuable first-hand feedback from our members.
