AIPM Launches PM Webinars
The AIPM has announced a new offering and opportunity for AIPM members and project management professionals with the launch of its' online professional development program PM Webinars from February 2017.
The one-hour lunchtime webinars will commence with topics under the theme of "The art of less doing" on 14 February 2017, with further webinars scheduled for Tuesday, 14 March, Thursday, 6 April and Thursday 11 May 2017.
The new program will ensure that busy project professionals can earn CPD points without leaving their desk. National Member and Events Manager, Jannene Stephens-Roberts is delighted with the launch and says “PM Webinars will suit many of our Members, particularly those working in remote and regional locations, as they will be able access professional development sessions without having to drive for 2 or more hours to attend an event.”
In the discipline of project management anything that can be done to generate more outcome for less input is considered to be a good thing. Well that can be true, but just like Archimedes you need to know where to apply leverage for the greatest effect. Our first series discussing ‘The Art of Less DOING’ is presented by Gordon Dunbar, senior consultant, author and lecturer at ECU. In the webinar you will be taken on a journey to discover how systems thinking, and Theory of Constraints in particular, can help all Project Managers apply their innate thinking capacity to identify and resolve why projects fail.
Each PM Webinar will be full of useful content and takeaways and participants will be engaged at several points during the webinar. “We will be encouraging attendees to provide us with valuable feedback”, says Ms Stephens-Roberts.
No matter where you are located or what time of day it is, you now have an opportunity to link to others in the project management industry via AIPM’s PM Webinar series.
As a special introductory offer, our first PM Webinar on the 14 February 2017 will be complimentary to AIPM members. Future PM Webinars will be charged at a modest price.
