John James Village - RPS
ACT WINNER 2018

The John James Village was a self-funded project by John James Foundation to provide a facility for the ACT/NSW Branch of the Leukaemia Foundation. The facility was established to provide leukaemia patients and their families modern accommodation whilst being treated at the Canberra Hospital. The project includes six self-contained respite units, an administration building and a recreational building located in Garran, ACT. Leukaemia Foundation staff are able to effectively coordinate their patient support initiatives from suitable office accommodation, including counselling, education programs, and a patient transport service while providing critical rest for leukaemia patients undergoing treatment.
