Feb 05
PM Webinar

Complex projects bring contract challenges. The ultimate supplier often has to become the buyer of subcontractor services, and those subcontractors' performance can jeopardise the main contract. With the high costs attributed to variations in complex projects, the management of the contract and project scope becomes critical. This session provides a fast track insight into the changes of law in trying to set out a framework that caters for the different types of contracts and the flexibility to apply to the different project environments.

This session provides essential knowledge for project managers:

  • The complexity and the structure of legislation and common law;
  • Key terminology that are critical to look out for and understand;
  • The structure of express, implied and conditional terms
  • How unfair terms are managed;
  • How to determine if a proposed scope change should be a variation;
  • The requirements and challenges of variation management; and
  • What happens when a contractor refuses to continue to work.
Learn about how to manage costs and avoid project scope creep, whilst ensuring the protection of law remains.
