Surf Coast Shire Council exists to help our community and environment to thrive. Council is responsible for identifying and delivering a wide variety of projects that contribute to this purpose.

Surf Coast Shire Council established a Program Management Office (PMO) in 2015/16. The PMO is responsible for Leadership, Support and Analysis of the program. This includes developing project management best practice.  A Project Delivery Framework was introduced in 2016/17. The Framework is being continuously improved and delivery targets achieved for capital and non-capital projects. A team of full-time and unit based project managers support sponsors across the organisation to manage their projects.  

Surf Coast Shire Council has received three Project Management Achievement Awards since introducing the PMO and is proud to be associated with the Australian Institute of Project Management.
