Who's this mentoring program for?

Our project management mentoring program pairs project managers seeking guidance and support with more experienced practitioners who are willing to commit time and energy to the professional development of another practitioner.

What you'll take away from this program as a mentee

  • Guidance for your personal and professional development in the project management profession, from someone with a wealth of experience
  • An opportunity to reflect on professional challenges and achievements
  • Satisfaction from helping others and contributing to the future success of the profession
  • A chance to develop your mentoring and leadership skills

‘My mentor helped me believe again in my own capabilities and strengths. Our conversations gave me the confidence to request a promotion and have meaningful development discussions with my manager’

Claudia Fiedler MAIPM, Aurecon
2020 Mentee

What you'll take away from this program as a mentor

  • Giving back to the profession
  • Staying abreast of emerging issues relevant to the profession
  • Further development of mentoring skills such as listening, asking questions, guiding, providing feedback, communication and interpersonal skills
  • A Mentor Masterclass - a 4 hour virtual course exclusively for AIPM mentors who want to develop skills and techniques to take their mentoring to the next level (On 23 & 28 March 2022 from 12-2pm AEDT)

‘As mentors, we have the power to give people a balanced and positive perspective over their inner voices, often laden with negative thoughts which hold them back. For me, watching a mentee become more confident, setting the bar higher for themselves, and taking charge of their career are the most satisfying rewards. ’
